I’m Rick Lander, a proud United States Air Force veteran, father of six, husband of 23 years, and owner of Lander Insurance. I’m also a licensed insurance agent (NPN 21255551), and I spend my days helping people figure out Medicare, health insurance, life insurance, and other types of coverage.

Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of things in the insurance business that just don’t sit right with me. I’ve watched people get taken advantage of by shady brokers and agents who seem more interested in their next commission than the person they’re supposed to be helping. I’ve seen people promised benefits they didn’t actually have, sold coverage they didn’t understand, and left wondering what happened when they needed their insurance the most.

And frankly, it pisses me off.

Now, don’t get me wrong. There are some great agents out there who genuinely care about their clients. But there are also plenty of people in this business who have no business being trusted with someone’s healthcare or financial well-being.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I created GetFastRates.com.

I wanted to build a website where people could get real information and straight answers without all the nonsense. Insurance is confusing enough without having to deal with misleading advertisements, complicated explanations, or someone trying to sell you something every time you ask a question.

Sometimes you just want to know the difference between an HMO and a PPO. Maybe you have a question about Medicare, deductibles, or why something isn’t covered. You shouldn’t have to give someone your phone number and get bombarded with sales calls just to get a simple answer.

That’s why I try to put as much helpful information on this website as possible. I want people to be able to come here, find what they’re looking for, and leave knowing a little more than they did before.

We’ll answer your questions, explain your options, and do our best to make sure you understand what you’re getting. It doesn’t cost anything to call and ask questions, and there’s no obligation to buy anything.

We do not sell leads, and we do not sell your information. The details you give us when you call or send a request are used only to help you with that request. I’ve been married for 23 years, raised six kids, and served my country. I’ve learned a few things along the way, and one of the biggest is that how you treat people matters. I wouldn’t want someone taking advantage of my wife, my kids, or my parents, and I don’t believe anyone else’s family deserves that treatment either.

I’m not going to promise you the cheapest insurance or tell you that every plan is perfect. That’s not how insurance works.

But I will tell you this: If a plan isn’t right for you, I’d rather tell you the truth than sell you something you don’t need. And if you’re better off keeping the coverage you already have, I’ll tell you that too.

I didn’t create GetFastRates.com just to sell insurance. I created it because I believe people deserve honest answers, real choices, and someone in their corner who actually gives a damn.
